We are currently seeking a proactive and service driven Marketing and Community Development Representative. Reporting directly to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing and Community Development Representative performs marketing administration responsibilities (such as executing promotional efforts, reviewing promotional copy, assisting with social media efforts and participating in business development events for the Credit Union) while providing exceptional internal and external service with a high degree of professional finesse and the ability to quantify efforts. Contributing to the overall success of the strategic goals of the credit union, the Marketing and Community Development Representative assists the Marketing Manager with marketing functions for both the Henrico Federal Credit Union and Bellwood Credit Union (“Credit Union”) brands. May be required to work nights and weekends as needed.
The successful candidate must possess high verbal and written communication skills with a well-developed skill in public speaking and the ability to articulate clearly and with confidence. Considerable skill in dealing tactfully, professionally and courteously with members, potential members, public and staff. Strong active listening and service orientation. Able to promote the use of Credit Union products and services in an open and friendly manner. Someone who is accurate, detailed and a self-starter with the ability to exercise good reasoning and independent judgment when addressing problems.
High school graduate (or equivalent) with strong networking and business development skills; demonstrated skill in the use of computers or equipment related to credit union functions and marketing analysis; experience executing presentations; and great organizational skills are required. Possession of a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a related field is preferred. Previous marketing and business development experience in a credit union or financial services environment (or similar retail services environment) is desired; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
MEMBER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE (Full-Time)

We are currently seeking an energetic MSR with an outstanding positive and flexible attitude, enthusiasm for building member relations, and strong multi-tasking and verbal communication skills for our West Broad location.
MSRs create an exceptional first impression to our members. Duties include welcoming members in person and by phone, managing wait times by directing members in a friendly, professional manner, providing general information, opening deposit accounts, entering and updating member information, helping with basic financial transactions, as well as a variety of other functions (including back-up Teller as needed), while ensuring exceptional internal and external service with a high degree of accuracy in accordance with policies and procedures.
Effective communication and organizational skills with the ability to articulate clearly, with confidence and good use of grammar, is essential. The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and enjoy communicating with people. Relationship building and considerable skill in dealing tactfully and courteously with the public is a must. A great internal service commitment and ability to work well within a team-focused environment is also desirable.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing exceptional member service, including needs assessment, meeting quality standards for service, and evaluation of member satisfaction is desired. Ability to promote use of credit union products and services in an open and friendly manner is required.
Completion of four-year high school education (or equivalent), one year of public contact work and at least six months of similar or related experience is required; previous experience as a receptionist or greeter is preferred; previous cash handling and/or sales (or lending) experience in a financial services environment (or a similar retail services environment) is desirable; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
